I love my dad so much and couldn't be happier that we were able to spend some extended quality time together this past week for his 70th birthday.

My mom jokes that my dad has now circled the globe multiple times based on how much he's driven me in my lifetime. I'd agree.
It was so fulfilling to return his love language last weekend, driving everyone down to Monterey, CA where we ate delicious food, looked at open houses, and shopped around for a new jacket for my dad (we found the perfect one!).
Treating my parents to fine dining on Monday felt extra special because it was the type of experience we never had growing up.
